Kabir To Return In C & G
By Ben Woodall
May 28 2004
Worcestershire paceman Kabir Ali is to return to the lineup on Saturday for the C&G game against Somerset. Kabirs return comes after two successful comeback games with the second XI.
England paceman Kabir Ali,who has been out injured with a hernia injury since April, will return for the visit of Somerset to New Road.

The game is a must-win for Worcestershire if they will want to avenge last years defeat in the final to neighbours Gloucestershire and with the return of Kabir,it just might be possible.

Worcestershires indifferent form so far this year has prompted some fans to dismiss the sides chances of survival in the County Championship already but Saturdays game comes as a welcome relief from the rigours of Championship cricket.

However,Somerset won't be travelling all that way to taste defeat, their hunger for success is strong due to their experienced lineup which should include such illustrious names as Caddick,Mclean,Trescothick and Cox.

Speaking to BBC Sport,Worcestershire director of cricket Tom Moody said "It's great to have Kabir back. He is raring to go.We will welcome him back with open arms because he is a high quality bowler who has done well for the past two seasons and taken a lot of wickets."
