This season it looks very much like Graeme Hick is back to his very best. So far he's scored a massive 927 runs, second only to Robert Key of Kent, at an average of 103. Included within this is the phenomenal 262 he hit against Gloucestershire, where he and Ben Smith broke the record for the highest partnership seen at New Road as they put on 359.
This award will come as welcome relief for Hick after an admittedly poor season last year. Ravaged by injuries Hick was far from his best but this year looks as if he will more than make up for that-hear hear!
Congratulations Graeme on your award and long may this good form continue.
