ECB confirm the franchise thing will be 100 balls

Are the words of the above sentence in the correct order?

Will fans in Hove flock to the Ageas to watch Luke Wright? NO.

Will people feel an affinity to these new manufactured teams in the way they do to counties? NO.

Predictions:

Few will watch this garbage, fewer will care. If we have to endure it for five years: it will be reform quickly, then aborted.

The hope:

We never hear from the architects and champions of this risible rubbish again. That means players of the current and recent past.

There was an alternative. It was for the BBC to have say, ten, T20 matches, the local derbies with the bigger crowds. Surrey v Middlesex, Lancashire v Hampshire, Glos and Somerset, Hampshire v Sussex, Warwickhsire v Worcestershire, Notts v Derbyshire and so on.

Cutting the qualification period- are England that desperate for Archer?

Here was an opportunity to use Brexit to bin the Kolpak numbers and promote home-grown talent.

Lizzie and the Times seem desperate to get him in an England shirt the number of tweets they have generated about it. Isn't a certain Overton a better option in thr short run?

Last time I looked the T20I and white ball teams were doing OK without him. And if England are desperate for an 'X factor' pace bowler in the Test side they should've given Olly Stone a run out in Sri Lanka.

But it never hurts to keep your options open. And it seemed daft that ECB regs were so far removed from ICC ones.

"ECB confirm the franchise thing will be 100 balls."

Just a % sign omitted, Grockle.

(Sm160) Works for me Bobstan

I was thinking of moving the 100 to the end of the sentence and adding a multiplication sign but it gets the same meaning across

200 balls for a match. Probably 400 runs.

I have just posted a link on my website thread to my recollections of a classic Gillette Cup match which lasted 663 balls for 309 runs and held a capacity crowd spellbound including me who stood for the entire match.

Times they are a'changin...
