Sorry to read this Ladies and Gents. It is always a somber moment when a valued member of a community like this passes on. We are comrades in arms in this scenario, we've also lost people who came a long way with us in this very strange thing we do.

Commiserations from Grockles to Diamond's family and all the people on MTWD who knew and spent time with him. We all know they continue to watch this game we love from above and complain bitterly to whatever deity they follow when things don't go the way they should.

Thanks for your kind words Grockle.

Also, thank you Beefy for sharing your thoughts. I realise this was especially a tough day for you and Dingy.

It was appropriate this event was filled with laughter and most attendees wore their sports attire rather than formal dress.

Thanks for your message and kind words Grockle.
Hoping to be at Taunton for the 50 over game in May,with luck our paths will cross and we can raise a glass to absent friends.
Wishing yourselves a good coming season

Well done once more, Beefy. As Kev says, not an easy day but a lot of Middlesex people there, including representatives of the club itself, which helped.

I thought the service was just right for our old friend, and was clearly just what his family wanted.

Appropriate to finish at Uxbridge.

Well done, that was very moving indeed.

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the funeral.

As you say, hopefully, we can come back strongly this season and get promoted and dedicate the season to Diamond.
