James Harris extends his contract

James Harris has extended his contract at Middlesex until 2021, which is great news after the success he enjoyed in 2018, when his 61 wickets @ 20.54 and 454 runs @ 32.43 ensured that he finished 3rd in both our County Championship bowling averages and batting averages, and it earned him the treble of being the official Player of the Year, the Players’ Player of the Year and the MTWD Player of the Year, having previously done something similar in 2015.

There have been times when it has been uncertain whether Harris would fulfill his potential at Middlesex, but it now seems to finally be happening.

If Helm, Finn and Roland-Jones are fit - and that has to be quite a big if - there will be quite a number of right-arm seamers vying for places. Add Harry, Murts, Bamber and Andersson to those three.

Glad to hear James has extended. A 100% man all round, whether on 12th man or second eleven duty.

In our several surprise wins last year. Made significant contributions with bat, ball and in the field geeing everyone up.
