Changes announced for next season

Although this could have gone on the 'Madness' thread, it isn't all about that, but more details are emerging for next season.

First hundred match July 17th, with final on August 15th. This is slightly better than expected, as there was talk of it being 5, or even 6 weeks.

Counties will be allowed to have THREEE overseas players on their books at the same time, but only one will be allowed to play in the championship, and two in the T20, Counties will now ALSO be allowed one overseas in the 50 over competition, which the ECB had previously said wouldn't be allowed.

It's not much, but at least it's a slight movement in the right direction.

Edit- changed thread title as '2020' might have made people think it was a thread about T20, rather than the 2020 season.

A thought occurs-

If a county can have THREE overseas on the staff simultaneously (although only one can play in a championship game) this probably increases the chances of keeping Paul Stirling (I expect Tim Murtagh to stay anyway) I doubt many counties would be able to afford three overseas at the same time, plus there probably aren't enough good overseas to go round, but this could be particularly good news for us (Stirling and Murtagh might not have to chose between us or Ireland)

I hope Stirlo stays. A good man to keep.

Plus the changes that you mention chunky are a move in the right direction. We have the 1.3 million bribe to spend as well.

Hopefully for the London Spirit 100 side managed by Shane Warne. Gin and tonic anyone.

Next season...Lords/mcc have announced international fixtures to be played at the building site.
25-29 June, test match vs West Indies
11 July ODI vs Australia...AGAIN (?)
30 July-3 August,test match vs Pakistan.
Chuck in the 100 rubbish, and all other games that gets played during the season and it doesn't leave much room for our games.

Will this give more outgrounds for games? Along with small ground capacity for the t20 games as well.
