This is the thread we promised for discussing anything non cricket related over the next few weeks. Politics is allowed but remember to be kind, no ranting and disagree politely. Thanks

Been needed for some time LL. Not always easy to stick strictly to the topic as often there are side issues. Thanks for an outlet if that occurs.

I got plenty to do if I have to self-isolate.
New kitchen fitted,so house needs to be put back together, fill up cupboards again, put fridge back (it's in the living room!).
Clean,dust,dust,clean..etc etc!
More stressful than watching Leeds!!

Large tree stump today. Sawing and chopping makes you blow a bit.Tree came down in October luckily missed the fence. A good day's self isolation.

Fred. Should stay off permanently. Waste of electricity. Last decent song Congratulations sung lustily by Cliffy otherwise known as Harry Webb I think.

When I saw the pictures of those Italians singing on their balconies, my mind immediately went back to Winchmore Hill's finest serenading Centre Court in the rain. Hopefully emergency legislation will forbid a repetition.

In Tesco car park in Harrow. Jammed solid if not quite chaos.

I did decide to buy a jigsaw and was amazed how many are out of stock; I suppose you all beat me to it.

Also, Beefy, Mrs Seaxe has mentioned the dreaded 'decorating' word. I think I may be having a funny turn....

Chums a catalogue company up in St Helens knocks out jigsaws, good ones, at 4 for 20 quid SS.

After the early season games being 'postponed/cancelled/re-arranged or whatever they are doing, back at work Tuesday and going to cancel the leave booked for Cardiff and Durham.
Still have a funny feeling (although not laughing) that my annual trip to Vegas will be cancelled as well. The lights are out down 'The Strip' and the big party I was going for will email on April 17 to say if its cancelled (wont be the best birthday gift!)

At 1st I was afraid, I was petrified,
There was no loo roll down at Aldi and I nearly cried.
Oh I spent so many nights just thinking how you did me wrong,
I used to wipe,
And now I’m forced to just drip dry !
No anti-bac !
No bloody soap,
and if you think you’re buying pasta well you’ve got no bloody hope !
I would have bought that box of eggs, I would have rationed out my bread,
If I’d have known for just one second everyone would lose their head !
Go on now go, walk out the door !
All you bloody stockpilers,
You are not welcome any more !
Weren’t you the ones who just bought all the sodding beans ?
You selfish gits !
I hope you spill them down your jeans !
Oh no not I, I won’t panic buy!
Oh as long as I have alcohol, I know I’ll stay alive,
Though I can’t buy my usual cheese,
This will not bring me to my knees
And I’ll survive, I will survive, hey, hey !
It took all the strength I had not to fall apart,
There was just apples and 1 carrot in my shopping cart,
And I spent hours walking round just feeling sorry for myself,
The empty store, with boxes strewn across the floor
And you’ll see me, somebody who,
Cannot buy anything she came for, and it’s all down to fecking you
And frickin Reg from down the road is such a selfish blimmin git
Because he stockpiled all the loo roll so nobody else can have a s@*t !
Go on now go, walk out the door !
All you bloody stockpilers,
You are not welcome any more!
Weren’t you ones who just bought all the sodding cakes
Can’t you make a crumble,
Do you people not know how to bake ?
Oh no not I, I won’t panic buy !
Oh as long as I have alcohol, I know I’ll stay alive,
Though I can’t buy my usual cheese
This will not bring me to my knees
And I’ll survive, I will survive !

Ages. But once I mastered copy and paste I got there.

That really is rather good, Kev. Well done!

Not only amusing, but a good few home truths included.

Music events across the country have been cancelled.

While I mourn the temporary closuse of the Green Note in Camden Parkway and will miss my normal Wednesday trip down to Brixtaaahn to see the peerless Errol Linton and band, I have been able to indulge in some schadenfreude. The Genesis reunion tour has been put on hold.
