Franks had hoped to be named in the squad for the Division Two game at Trent Bridge, but he will be given more time to recover. Andrew Harris took 11 wickets in that win and his form has been a major factor in his side's solid start to the season.

Meanwhile, Derbyshire will have captain Dominic Cork available.
