Hooper deal in doubt

Hooper, who it was hoped would stand in for injured overseas star Harhajan Singh for around five weeks, may not come to Old Trafford, depending on the result of a hearing next Tuesday.

Many had thought the 36-year-old would have been signed in time for the current County game against Middlesex.
