Tevez scores!

Carlos Tevez's netted a last-gasp goal as United salvaged an undeserved point at White Hart Lane. Sir Alex Ferguson's men were a shadow of the side that demolished Portsmouth during the week and can consider themselves lucky to leave North London with a share of the spoils. Dimitar Berbatov had put Spurs ahead in the first-half and they held their lead until the dieing seconds of the game.

United escape from the Lane with a point! 

Tevez latched onto a Nani corner and rifled a rasping volley into the back of the net. It was harsh on Spurs who had produced an impressive display and dominated the game for long periods. Berbatov had put them ahead after he was quick to react after Edwin van der Sar could only parry a cross from the energetic Aaron Lennon.

Tottenham were left to rue a series of missed chances with Robbie Keane the most guilty culprit. The Irishman fired his shot straight at VDS from fifteen yards even though he had the time to pick his spot and double Spurs' advantage. Berbatov had earlier volleyed over, whilst Owen Hargreaves had gone close to putting the ball into his own net.

Spurs, however, were most impressive at the back with Michael Dawson marshalling a composed back-four which dealt comfortably with United's attacking threat. That was, until, Tevez popped up in injury-time to rescue a point for the Champions - just 24 hours after Ferguson told the press that his side couldn't afford to lose another game this season.

It was a bad-tempered affair at the Lane and referee Mark Clattenburg wasn't afraid to get out his book. United had a total of seven players booked and Ferguson couldn't hide his annoyance with the referee claiming he had a "big problem" with his performance. United will be relieved with the point but now sit two-points behind leaders Arsenal. We now head into the eagerly-anticipated derby with Manchester City - an emotional occasion where the fans will remember the Munich Air Disaster of 1958.
