Imps beat Forest in close friendly.

Lincoln City came out 1-0 winners in a tense friendly with Nottingham Forest with a fine finish from Jamie Forrester. It was a game that often failed to get out of the midfield area but when it did, either Marriott or Raynor kept out Forest and despite only being a friendly, it was still a great win

It was a pretty uneventful first half with very few shots from either side on target but as soon as the second half began, there were a few chances for Forest to take what in all fairness, would have been a deserved lead. Marriott pulled off several great saves before Raynor started warming up and whilst he was doing that, good work between Forrester and Frecklington resulted in the former smashing the ball in off the bar. Raynor made some good saved but to describe it as an exciting game would be far from accurate.
