Stallard to miss all 3 former club returns

Mark Stallard has been banned for 3 matches following his sending off against Rotherham, those 3 games will be against sides that Stallard has played for in the past. Stallard was sent off for an off-the-ball incident not long into the second half, and that changed the game as Rotherham scored within a minute of Stallard being shown the red card.

Stallard has been poor form this season, scoring just twice in the League in 21 appearances. Last season he made a fairly decent start to his City career, scoring 17 goals in his first season at the club, including 5 braces.

His red card against Rotherham was the first of his City career and now means he will miss the next 3 games in which the Imps host Wycombe and then travel to Chesterfield and Notts County. In 73 League games for Wycombe he scored 23 goals, he scored twice in 9 league games for Chesterfield on loan and also scored an impressive 69 goals in 201 league appearances over two spells with Notts County.

Stallard's contract at Sincil Bank expires this summer. That could be bad news to Stallard as Peter Jackson revealed at a recent fans forum that he wanted to get rid of about 10 of the current players, and only Ollie Ryan has a worse goals:games ratio than Stallard this season.
