Former Imp released by Port Vale

A former Lincoln City player has been told he will not be offered a new contract by Port Vale following their relegation to League 2. Lee Sinnott has wasted no time with his preperations for League Two football next season and he has also signed two players to replace the outgoing former Imp and his team-mates.

Craig Rocastle played for the Imps in the 2003/4 season. The youngster was on loan from Chelsea for the final part of another Playoff campaign. In typical Lincoln City style, he only played two games during his loan spell and both of those were from the substitutes bench.

He is one of seven players that are not being offered new contracts by the Valiants. The others are David Mulligan, Joe Cardle, Robin Hulbert, Adam Eckersley, George Pilkington and Colin Miles. Danny Whittaker, Paul Harsley, David Howland and Luke Prosser will all be offered new deals.

Lee Sinnott has already started bringing players in though. Anthony Griffith has joined from Doncaster whereas Rob Taylor will come from Nuneaton Borough.

Craig Rocastle was rubbish. how the hell he was signed by sheffield wednesday i will never no.
went to watch him play for sheffield wed v watford, 1-1 other season when we were away in the ldv game.

Danny Whittaker, i think hes trying to go around every club in the country, he was a good player at kidde!
