The draw for the second annual "THE MATCH 2" has been made. The tournament will take place on June 14th and will be competed by 8 teams and the first round will be a group stage. Two groups of four teams of seven will compete against each other to determine which teams is best.

Last year's "THE MATCH" saw the red team come out on top, winning all 6 of their matches. Despite winning all 6 matches, the Reds weren't the most memorable team due to the White Team. The White team played in 6 matches overall but didn't score a single goal before their 3rd place Playoff, for those wondering, they got through the group stage because of a dodgy points system.

This season's tournament will be near enough as simple as it gets. There will be 2 groups of 4 teams, the top two teams from each group go through to the semi finals. Points will be awarded on a 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a defeat. Each match will last for 15 minutes to avoid the exhaustion experienced by many last year, this will be followed by a 5 minute gap until the next match. The group stage is expected to last roughly 75-90 minutes

The draw threw up an interesting mix of teams but the most interesting part of the draw was Team Goob drawing NKSU. That draw guarantees that Dan Taylor will be up against his nemesis, Dean Fillingham. They will be joined in that group by Saxilby Seven and the LCFC Staff Team that is being organised by Adam Stocks (however, this team has yet to get a final confirmation). If LCFC Staff do not compete then Group A will become a 3 team group with 20 minute matches instead.

Group B will see Welton Imps, Team Gaz Imp, Team Kamikaze FC (KFC for Short) and Team Unassigned. However, Team Unassigned is still short of 2 players (including 1 goalkeeper). if it gets to the point where we haven't found players to join their team, the 5 players they currently have will be placed into the other teams in the tournament.

If the situation arises that LCFC Staff don't complete and Team Unassigned don't find another 2 players (or just 1 more, but they must be a goalkeeper) then it will be 2 groups of 3, again with the Top 2 going through.

KICK OFF TIME AND THE LOCATION WILL BE CONFIRMED IN THE NEAR FUTURE

if you were good nathan you should adapt into the positon you are. So cut inside and use your left foot, or just use both feet like most people do

Trust me, I am utter@#$%&on my right foot unless I have plenty of time to place the pass or shot.

Problem with 6-a-side pitches is that you don't have a lot of time or space and switching foot requires both, meaning when out of position then I'm left with the opposition right on me.
