City threw away a lead at Barnet as Michael O'Connor's opener was ruled out by a salvo from O'Flynn and Adomah's fantastic strike. Patulea did score for the Imps who dominated the game, suffering three counter attack goals to condemn us to yet another defeat and ending the extremely faint Playoff chances.  

The Bees got the game under way with his goalbound shot taking a heavy deflection out for a corner.  Brown cleared the ball before Patulea was booked for not retreating....although the yellow card did come within seconds of the free kick being given. N'Guessan had a superb shot saved by Cole before Kovacs headed over from Brown's corner. The Imps were well on top and deservedly took the lead through a good team goal.

N'Guessan broke free of Lockwood and cross the ball. Wright dummied it and Patulea missed it, Brown picked it up and played it to O'Connor and the on loan make sent the ball into the net with the side of his foot. Brown almost made it 2-0 within seconds as he fired wide. N'Guessan should have doubled the lead when he was set free, only to see his shot go well over the target.

Patulea had a chance parried wide before Barnet undeservedly drew level. Janos Kovacs yet again failed to pick up his man as Bolaise's cross was headed in by John O'Flynn, the striker scoring his 16^th goal of the season. Neither side managed another decent effort before half time.

Barnet started the second half brightly but couldn't force any chances before a 58^th minute pass set Adomah free. The impressive attacking midfielder ran into the box, only to see Burch save his effort. City had their own one-on-one seconds later but N'Guessan somehow shot straight at Cole with the goalkeeper making no effort to come out. City paid for that with Adomah scoring an impressive goal as he cut inside and smashed home from just inside the area.

However, the lead lasted less than two minutes as Adrian Patulea celebrated his first start of 2009 with his first goal, heading in from close range after a Brown cross. The Imps were dominant again but then came the turning point, bringing on the ever un-dangerous Horsfield in place of Ben Wright. City failed to have another shot after this.

Just about sums it up, 3-1 to the Imps at half time should have been the score.

need to take your chances when your on top in a game, especially with a defence like lincolns
