"Big" Ben Futcher is now longer the giant at Sincil Bank, he has now had to settle for 2nd place after the arrival of a new loan signing from Swindon Town, Ben Martin, who measures an extra 2 inches than Futcher at a whoppying 6 feet 7.
If Division 3 defences thought that Ben Futcher was tough to handle, well now there's 2 of them and the newest one, IS BIGGER.
"Bigger" Ben Martin has arrived on a months loan from 2nd division Swindon.
This could prove especially useful as Futcher was usually marked (and pulled down) by as much as 5 players at a time. With Martin in the box as well, set pieces could prove a tad easier as the defences would be too busy trying to mark the 2 dominating figures.
About coming to the Imps, the giant said ``Obviously it was quite difficult for me at the start coming in where I came from but now I am really starting to enjoy it. All the training is paying off, now all I need is some games and hopefully I can get that at Lincoln, it’s all part of my footballing education.”
Whether this loan signing pulls off is another question but I for one look forward to seeing defenders struggle to mark both Ben's and keep the rest of the Lincoln players at bay. DIVISION 3, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
