In a especially long build up to the Boston United vs Lincoln City game on Boxing Day, we start looking at the predictions of fans of both teams. In their are a few suprise statements including a BOSTON fan prediciting an Imps win.

BOSTON UNITED FANS
  • Name : "Pulcinello".
  • How long have you been supporting Boston? : If by that you mean "attending on a fairly regular basis", since 9th December 1992.
  • How many games do you go to a season? : Not as many as I'd like, due to being based abroad for much of the time. Last season I managed to get to 14 matches, but this season I've managed only 3 (plus 1 pre-season friendly).
  • In your opinion, who is your "best" player? : Neil Redfearn
  • Best result so far this season : Boston United 4 Torquay United 0.
  • Worst result so far this season : Darlington 3 Boston United 0.
  • Which game are you most looking forward to? : Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.
  • Favourite stadium in D3 (other than your own): The old Boothferry Park -- as it used to be in the 1960s.
  • Least favourite stadium in D3: Glanford Park, Scunthorpe.
  • Opinion on the Imps (not swearing please): A good hard side by Division 3 standards (I've already seen them a couple of times this season). Not at all "long ball specialists"; there's a fair bit of subtlety there too. I expect them to finish at least in a play-off spot: they might do even better than that and get automatic promotion, though I think a lot will depend on how quickly Keith Alexander manages to get back to work.
  • Prediction of the score against the Imps: Boston United 0 Lincoln City 2 (hurts me to say that!).
  • How would you react if you win?: Overjoyed.
  • How would you react if you lose?: One defeat doesn't spoil a season (well, not at this stage, anyway!), and strange as it might seem, I'd back Boston to get at least a draw up at your place.
  • Name : Scotty Walds How long have you been supporting Boston? : Forever
  • How many games do you go to a season? : Vast Majority - 50ish including friendlies
  • In your opinion, who is your "best" player? : Paul Bastock
