The long running transfer saga with Scunthorpe's Jamie McCombe finally appears over, The Football League have told the Iron they must release the centre-back, who has handed in two transfer requests at Glanford Park, as soon as City put in seven days' notice for the player. City will more than likely act very quickly and hand Scunthorpe the 7 days notice so that the 6'5 defender will be available for the visit of Mansfield next week.

Keith had wanted him to cover for Futcher but is now looking for even more faces to come in to cover for the popular defender.

"However, I am still looking at bringing in a couple of faces, and hopefully should have some news before Saturday's trip to Cheltenham.
