Imps defender Ben Futcher has handed in a transfer request to leave Sincil Bank as the 6 ft 7 defender has been linked with several higher division clubs. Clubs interested are rumoured to be Aston Villa, Bolton, Cardiff, Derby and Hull. The last comes as no suprise as Peter Taylor has often claimed to be an admirer of the player.

Futch joined the Imps just after the end of the 2001/2 season and finished the 2002/3 season as leading scorer for the Imps which included a goal in the playoff final. The 2003/4 season proved more lean as only 3 goals were scored.
