Don't travel to Northampton

This hasn't been said officially yet so I'll be officially the first to say it but if you haven't got a ticket, don't go to Northampton. City sold out their 850 seat allocation within weeks of them going on sale and if you haven't got a ticket, you won't get into the ground.

On top of the 850 people with tickets, an additional 1000 are believed to be travelling down on the day to hopefully either get a ticket in the Northampton home ends (unlikely) or sit on the hill behind one of the stands at Sixfields.

This all started just over a month ago when Northampton made the game all ticket for Lincoln fans, initially giving us 850 tickets and saying we'd get another 350 if we sold the 850. With 3 weeks to go, there were less than 400 tickets sold so Northampton started selling the 350 additional tickets to their own fans. Upon the news, the other tickets for the Lincoln end sold out quickly with a lot of fans then moaning that they couldn't get a ticket, I have a message for these people, unless you have a very good reason (i/e a disability or similar) for wanting to wait for the side stand then it's your own fault that you're not going to the game, if you wanted to go badly enough, you would have brought tickets for the stand behind the goal long before they announced we wouldn't be getting the other tickets.

Anyway, the game takes place on St Georges day and a lot of Northampton's population are out celebrating, including people who are reportedly going to start a bit of trouble. Thus the police are considering closing the hill off meaning that if you go, without a ticket, you will not see the game in any part so don't waste your time.
