Who wants to read something controversial? Wrexham had 10 points deduced last season. If you add those 10 points back on, they'd have stayed up and they're blaming the FA for them going down. It aint their fault you only won 5 games in 2005, they didn't play the games for you.

Last Season Now, before I start, don't mistake what I'm about to say for a lack of caring about their situation, we've been there and I wish them every luck in the world. I have no grudges against the club or the players, but rather the attitude of their fans last season.

 

Last season, Wrexham were relegated despite amassing a sufficient amount of points to survive. However, in November, they went into administration and those 10 docked points saw them relegated. So in other words, if they hadn't gone into administration, they wouldn't have got relegated, or that's what they like you to believe anyway.

 

Wrexham fans have been blaming the FA for getting them relegated after docking the points in November, yes, November, not February, not March, not even April or May, but November. Now I would understand their complaint if the points had been deduced in those months but in November, with 7 months of the season remaining shows that overall, they probably did deserve to get relegated.

 

Is it the FA's fault you only won 5 league games in 2005? Wrexham had plenty of time to correct the wrong and yet the didn't, granted, they would have stayed up if those 10 points had been deducted, but as I say, it's not like it happened in the late months of the season, it happened with over half the season left to go. I mean come on, it's not the FA's fault you didn't win enough games after they took the points off you. If you'd have made the playoffs after having the 10 points taken off you then you wouldn't be complaining. Yes, the FA took the points off you but they didn't play the games for you that you lost.

 

You won a game 6-4 at Hartlepool for christ's sake, that's what could have happened every game if you had tried but no, it's all the FA's fault isn't it. Oh wait, hold on, some kid in Swansea just sneezed, that must be the FA's fault, my tape player has a dodgy radio reception, must be the FA's fault, water is see through, damn FA at it again.

 

This season? Everyone says that Wrexham have a great chance of going back up, WHY? They showed last season that they didn't have the stomach for a fight when the tough got going. If they were good enough, like they claimed to be, they'd have won more than 5 league games in 2005 and made that 10 point deduction irrelevant.

 

Overall, they do not have the quality that they had the last time they were in the division and a season of struggle is ahead unless they learn to stop moaning and start winning games.

 

Prediction 21st - I'm not going to re-iterate what I said above.
