After the playoff final, I said to myself, "oh well, at least we won't have to play Southend next season," I was wrong. If City get past Milton Keynes, we will have to travel to Southend United, who beat City in last season's playoff final, the 2nd time in 3 years this tie has come out.

In the 2003/4 season, the Imps drew away at Southend in the 2nd round, an identical draw to this year. Southend rather undeservedly won the playoff final last year after they only had 2 shots on target all game, both resulted in goals and other than that, were dominated by the Imps. However, the Imps have to get past MK Dons first and if they do, the game at Roots Hall will be played on the weekend of 3/4/5 December.
