Lincoln's opponents in 9 days, Grismby Town, have launched a bid in an attempt to lure Simon Yeo to Blundell Park. The striker, who has expressed his desire to return to Sincil Bank, has had financial troubles during his time in New Zealand and that could a catalyst for a move to Blundell Park.

Yeo left Sincil Bank in May but before that, had spoken to several clubs including Huddersfield and Grimsby, however, an offer to play in a country's top division seemed to hard to turn down and Yeo left for the New Zealand Knights and now he has left them, Russell Slade has made no doubts about his intentions to sign Yeo.

"I'd like to think that we can wheel and deal a bit during the transfer window, I've got a list of names that I'll be targeting over the New Year and yes, it would be fair to say that Simon Yeo is on that list of names."

Yeo, who left the Knights for financial reasons, could very well be tempted if the right contract offer came in from another club and snub the Imps all together. Oxford are still rumoured to be interested and it is believed the Brian Talbot is talking to Firoz Kassam during the week about possibly lining up a bid for the 32 year old.
