Parker, Graham – A former Aston Villa, Rotherham, Exeter and Torquay man who made 4 appearances for the Imps in the 1968/9 season.

 

Parkin, David – Made 2 appearances in the 1987/8 conference winning season.

 

Parkin, FW – “Reg” played just 4 times for the Imps in 1945/6.

 

Parkinson, Steve – Made 6 appearances for City in 1992/3.

 

Parr, Harry – Harry made 118 appearances for the Imps between 1946 and 1951.

 

Payne, Frank – Another “P” who didn’t made a lot of appearances, Frank managed just 5 appearances for City in the 1949/50 season.

 

Peacock, Richard – A midfielder who joined the Imps from Hull in 1998 and played 76 times for City before leaving in 2001.

 

Peake, Trevor – A near ever present in his time at City as his made 202 appearances for City between 1979 and 1983.

 

Pearce, Allan – A New Zealand born striker who joined the Imps from Barnsley in 2002 and made 21 appearances for the Imps before leaving in 2004. He scored just 1 goal in his time at Sincil Bank and his luck didn’t improve at Bradford Park Avenue.

 

Pearson, Greg – A loanee striker from West Ham proved to be an ultimately disappointing use of a loan as, for someone who was apparently the future of British football, he made 5 very impressive appearances for City in the 2004/5 season.

 

Peat, Nathan – A left back who joined the Imps on loan from Hull. He showed some potential but injury ended his season long loan early and he made just 10 appearances for the Imps in the 2004/5 season.

 

Peden, George – The popular versatile player made 250 appearances for City between 1966 and 1973.

 

Perkins, Chris – Yet another former Imps player who has had 3 different spells at Chester. The player, who also ran out for Mansfield and Hartlepool, made just 12 appearances for City in the 2000/1 season.

 

Perry, Jason – A former Cardiff, Bristol Rovers and Hull played who made 15 appearances for City in the 1998/9 season.

 

Pettinger, Paul – Paul was the only goalkeeper to challenge Alan Marriott as first team goalkeeper and the man, who looked very similar to Sad-Sack from the kids TV show, “Raggy Dolls” played 5 games for City between 2001 and 2003.

 

Phillips, David – A former Premiership midfielder who played 19 games for City in the 1998/9 season. He also played for Plymouth, Manchester City, Coventry, Norwich, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield.

 

Philpott, Lee – A skilful midfielder who joined the Imps in 1998 and he played 57 times before leaving the Imps for Hull in 2000.

 

Pilgrim, J Alan – Despite spending 6 years at City, between 1965 and 1971, he made just 20 appearances for City.

 

Platnauer, Nicky – Another player who’s face appears next to “journeyman” in the football dictionary. He played just 31 games between 1993 and 1996 for City but he also played for Bristol Rovers, Coventry, Brighton,  Carlisle, Nottingham Forest, Portsmouth, Leicester, Scunthorpe and Mansfield.

 

Pollitt, Mike – Another well travelled goalkeeper who joined City in 1992 and made 68 appearances before leaving in 1994. He also played for Darlington, Notts County, Oldham, Gillingham, Brentford, Rotherham, Chesterfield and then a jump to Premiership Wigan.

 

Poppleton, Dave – Former Watford man who made 7 appearances for City in the 1999/2000 season.

 

Powell, Gary – A loanee who made 11 appearances for City in the 1990/1 season. Also played foe Scunthorpe, Wigan and Bury.

 

Poynton, Bill – A one appearance wonder from the 1966/7 season.

 

Punter, Brian – Joined City in 1959 and made 86 appearances for City before leaving in 1964.

 

Puttnam, David – Former Leicester, Gillingham and Swansea who played 185 times for City between 1989 and 1996.
