Keith Alexander has signed a fair few good players in his time but believe me, he's signed some right rubbish as well. Names like Richard Butcher, Simon Yeo, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Jamie McCombe are all quality buys by Keith but names like Jude Stirling amoungst others ruins his record.

During every pre-season, you'll always see Keith Alexander moaning that he has had hardly any money to spend but based on certain transfers in the past, he only has himself to blame. At the end of last season and most of the way through this season, Keith Alexander has moaned that the players currently at the club aren't good enough to get the job done. That's all well and good but if you look at the squad that faced Mansfield, only 1 player in the squad wasn't brought by Keith Alexander so in that respect, Keith only has himself to blame for not having a squad good enough but as long as Keith gets to bring in his mates, he doesn't really care.

In the past, Keith Alexander has made some excellent signings for the Imps and some have gone on to have good careers with either the Imps or other sides. The list of good signings is quite long and those names include midfielders Dean Keates and Richard Butcher, strikers Simon Yeo and Gary Taylor-Fletcher and defenders Gareth McAuley and Jamie McCombe, all of whom are quality players and would fit into any side in this division. However, Keith's record for buying crap heavily outways decent players brought to this club.

Martin Gritton, Niall McNamara, Kevin George, Derek Asamoah, Peter Folkes, Mark Ward, Chris Ward, Rory May, Ellis Remy, Dene Cropper, Dave Wattley, Kevin Sandwith, Michael Blackwood and Omari Coleman, 14 names that would feature in a lot of people's "Lincoln Waste of Space XI" team. They are but a handful of names that Keith Alexander has brought to this club in the last 4 years and there are many more that have failed to make the grade.

The most curious thing about that list is that there are players in there who Keith was "thoroughly delighted to get" and yet he never played them. Peter Folkes for example, not only did he never play for the Imps, but he was given a new contract by Keith Alexander at the beginning of the season when the Imps boss clearly had no intention of playing him. That is just one example of Keith Alexander wasting this club's money on players we don't need.

The latest transfer that fits into the category of "a waste of space" is Jude Stirling, a player who could arguably go down as the worst footballer to ever play for the club. After being released by Oxford earlier this season, Keith Alexander decided to give him a contract at City and he has become a cult hero because he can throw a ball a long way. If we wanted a player who could do that, why didn't we just guy a shot-putter or a javelin thrower because even though they aren't even close to being professional footballers, they must surely have more skill than Stirling. The annoying thing is that every single one of his throw ins goes straight to an opposition player.

Keith Alexander is always moaning that he is forced into buying these players because they're the best he could get. I'm sorry but Keith, you're not forced into buying anyone, if they're not good enough, they should not be playing for this club. I don't care if they we had a major injury crisis because at the end of the day, we shouldn't be buying players that simply aren't good enough. Keith, 2 of your signings recent, Stirling and Gritton, you claimed you were "forced" to get them as they were the only ones available, is it too damn difficult not to buy anyone?

After 4 years of watching Keith waste the club's money, I have a message for him, stop buying crap and then moaning about it, you're the one who brings these rubbish players to the club so it's your own fault. If you moan that they're not good enough, don't bloody buy them, stop wasting this clubs money and actually buy players that could possible win us promotion, or would that be too hard? Anyone would think you had a quota of crap transfer to fill.
