On loan striker, Jamie Forrester has revealed that he would like to extend his 1 month spell from rivals Bristol Rovers. The former Hull and Scunthorpe man has scored twice in 4 games since joining on deadline day at the end of March and has revealed that he is enjoying himself at his 10th club.

Forrester got off to a perfect start to his Imps career by scoring the best goal in the 5-0 demolition of Grimsby and also being heavily involved in the build up to several other goals. He scored a week later against Darlington but that was only a consolation as City were already 4-1 down at the time and at the weekend, he almost regained the lead for the Imps with a superb chip from the edge of the area that was brilliantly saved by the pie favouring Kevin Pressman.

Speaking to the Echo, Forrester revealed he would like to extend his stay with his current deal due to expire after the Leyton Orient game. "It is obviously up to the two clubs whether I stay, but I'd love to remain at Sincil Bank, it is nice to hear Keith wants to keep me - I must be doing something right. I've still got three games of my initial month to go and my immediate aim is to help City win those matches. We haven't got as many points as we'd like, but we're still in with a shout of making the play-offs.

"The reason I joined Lincoln was to try to salvage something from the season because I haven't played a lot of matches for Bristol Rovers. It would be great if I could end the season with a play-off berth, but there is still a lot of football left to play. We might have a better idea of where we will end up after this weekend's games. It is going to be a massive 72 hours for everyone involved in the League Two promotion race."

Forrester's skills will be tested in the next 10 days as the Imps face difficult games against Wycombe and Orient, as well as a home game against Bury on Saturday but the former Hull and Scunthorpe man has showed the Imps fans that he has the potential to score the goals to win City promotion. Keith Alexander was understandably delighted with Forresters contribution so far.

""Jamie has done well since signing for us, he has scored two goals in four games and you can't ask much more than that. Jamie's loan deal does not expire until April 22, but I want to get it sorted out."

Forrester will more than likely start against Bury on Saturday.
