All the speculation has finally ended over Jamie Forrester's future as the experienced striker agrees to join permanently. The loanee striker from Bristol Rovers will extend his loan until the end of the season and once the transfer window opens, he will sign for the Imps on a permanent basis.

Forrester joined just before last month's annihilation of Grimsby Town and has gone on to score 5 times in his first month with the Imps and he has become a fan favourite already with his popularity growing each week as he showed skill and passion that will easily make him the best striker at Sincil Bank.

There has been a lot of speculation recently after his initial loan spell expired last Saturday but with Bristol Rovers re-entering the playoff picture, it is very surprising that they have let their in form striker continue to play for the Imps. When the transfer window does re-open, the former Scunthorpe and Hull man will sign a deal that will end at the end of the 2007/8 season.

Imps chairman, Steff Wright said "We are very pleased to have secured Jamie's services for two years on an incentive based contract which the club can afford. It's a deal which will see Jamie relocate with his family to Lincoln and become a key part in our future success."

Forrester will more than likely remain in the starting line-up for Saturday's trip to Shrewsbury/
