Francis Green joins Boston

After being released by Lincoln, Francis Green has quickly found new employment at our neighbours, Boston United. Green was one of the first to be told his contract wouldn't be renewed but he quickly contacted a team that he spent some of this season on loan to.

Green had a successful spell at Boston on loan earlier in the season before coming back and playing surprisingly well for a while. Steve Evans was delighted to sign the striker.

"His workrate is outstanding and he has good technique. At Lincoln City, he was excellent and spent a lot of his time working in defensive areas and that is the ugly side of the game, not many people want to do. We need him to get more goals but hopefully we can get him into more scoring positions.

Green leaves Sincil Bank after joining from Peterborough in 2003/4, in his time at Sincil Bank, he scored in just 19 goals in 109 games
