Wilson rejects Imps to join Pool

Lincoln City have lost yet another candidate for the managerial vacancy after Danny Wilson was appointed at Hartlepool. Wilson was one of the favourites to become the new Imps' boss but tonight signed a deal with the men from Victoria Park after leaving MK Dons last season.

This could be a very good signing for the Pool as they have appointed a manager who more often than not, gets teams close to promotion and ironically, was in charge of the Bristol City side that beat Hartlepool in the playoffs in 2003/4. Imps fans were hopeful that he was one of the candidates for the job at Sincil Bank but this news comes as a bitter blow for Imps fans.

Now the favourite amoungst Imps' fans is definately John Ward but only time will tell as to whether he wants to the job at Sincil Bank given Cheltenham's promotion last season.

We'll bring you more news as we get it.
