The most important 8am of our recent history

Lincoln City's new manager will be announced at 8am tomorrow morning with media reports that John Deehan is the man. Several national newspapers today stated that John Deehan had accepted a deal to become Lincoln manager but will he be the man revealed in the early hours of tomorrow?

Deehan emerged out of no-where yesterday to become one of the favourites for the job but John Ward, who is the fan's favourite to become the new boss at Sincil Bank, has yet to make a comment about whether he was offered the job at City and if he was, if he was willing to accept it.

Several potential candidates have dropped out in the last few days with Steve Thompson and Danny Wilson both finding employment elsewhere and now it appears to just be a 2 horse race between Deehan and Ward, that's even if Ward applied.

I'll be honest and say I'd never heard of Deehan before yesterday's report in the Echo but he has a pedigree of working with some of the games bigger club having managed Norwich City, Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa.

It'll certainly be a nervous wait to find out who the manager is but at least we'll finally be able to concentrate on something else after 8am tomorrow and can start looking forward to the oncoming season.
