| THE MAYOR OF DERBY’S CRICKET CHARITY COMPETITION 2002 THE BUTTERLEY CUP SEMI-FINAL OCKBROOK 2NDS 160-5 BEAT DERBY CONGS 143-7 BY 17 RUNS Ockbrook batted first and got off to a good start with Nigel Sulley (39) and Ashleigh Gough (20) putting on 59 for the first wicket. There followed useful contributions from Lindsey Morgan (36), Russell Sexton (25) and Gareth Young (26 not out). For Congs Steve Baines took 2-28 and Mahroof Hussain 2-45. Derby Congs took up the challenge with Trevor Archibald hitting a brisk 25, but wickets began to fall in the rush for quick runs. Mick Woolley stood firm and was still there at the end with 61 not out. With more support to back him up they could have made it, but Ockbrook’s bowlers stood firm, with Usman Gondal taking 3-38 and Paul Darlington 2-36.
