Glamorgan drew their three-day tour game against the Boland Academy after Steve James had set their opponents 260 to win the game. Glamorgan could only capture four wickets, as the Academy batted out for a draw. Glamorgan’s first-innings lead of 84 runs was mainly thanks to Robert Croft, who picked up three wickets in his 19 overs and scored 62 runs in Glamorgan’s first innings. Steve James and David Hemp built on this lead, putting on 76. Hemp, who also made 39 in the first-innings, missed his chance for his second half-century of the tour when he was run out for 40. James retired on 56 at the lunch interval, after which Matt Maynard provided the innings with a quick 30, as James declared with the scoreboard displaying 175/6.

With only 54 overs to bowl out the Academy, Glamorgan’s hopes of a victory were dented by an opening stand of 41. Two quick wickets by Darren Thomas gave Glamorgan some hope, but an unbeaten fifth-wicket stand of 51 meant that the captains shook hands with 6 wickets still remaining.
