David Dein has made it clear that Arsenal are not intending to let any players go this off season. The only player to leave is Edu.
He made it clear that all the senior squad, plus the recently emerged players like Senderos were staying. From the way he talked we can assume that any speculation over Vieira will be just that - speculation.
He also made it clear Arsene had money to spend, but he was not expecting him to break the bank. That is not Arsene's way, he likes to sign youth, or buy players cheap, before they are well known. Reyes was an exception not the rule.
On wages policy Dein made it clear that there is a policy, but that has to take the market into account. However Chelsea were making the situation unreal, and Arsenal had no intention of competing with them.
Dein believed rules were there to be obeyed. The Premieship was a well run league, if clubs could break the rules it would be undermined. He had not testified against Cole, he wasn't the problem, other people were. But he refused to say who they were. But it was thought he meant agents.
