Never mind the bollocks: Henry on his contract

Henry

No doubt due to fact there is no news about Arsenal some sections of the media feel the need to make it up. Once again this weekend some of the media are running the Henry is delaying over his contract story.

And what better than to wind up Arsenal fans by inventing stories that Henry is not settled at Highbury. I defy anyone to prove that any other club has to put up with this never-ending media campaign to undermine them.

Anyway to clarify the situation this is what Henry told Arsenal fans before the match against Fulham:

"I know a lot appeared in the papers over the weekend about my contract situation — let me just make it clear to everyone again. All I want to say is what I said at the beginning of the season: yes we will discuss a new contract but I’m not going to talk too much about it right now because I want to concentrate on the season, trying to win silverware, because this season is very important. That’s all I said, but it got twisted in the media. It happens to every player and I’ve been here six years now so I’m used to it."

The papers will try to spin something out of the thinest of stories, Henry had already refuted this lie, and now on Sunday they run it again by either misquoting or misinterpreting Wenger.

They do it to sell papers, well the best response is not to buy their old bollix.
