The Woodlands 25 – 0 Kenilworth. As these two sides took to the field for their respective final games together, it was fitting that they met in the third consecutive WSSC final, as they have both dominated the league stages throughout the three years of the competition at their age group.

In good rugby conditions at BPA the opening exchanges were typically tight, and Kenilworth opened very brightly and could have scored with the first play of the game but were denied by an excellent defensive tackle. 

After that both sets of forwards tried to gain some ascendancy over their opponents.  A penalty in their opponents 22 gave TWS a chance to score, and they looked to have wasted it with a fumble which was picked up by winger Leo Craddock who just about touched down to give The Woodlands the lead.  A huge 41m penalty by fly half Josh Knight increased TWS's lead by half time. 

Kenilworth battered away at The Woodlands' defence in the early stages of the second half, but it was the ‘home' team who scored the first try of the half through Craddock's second effort, finishing off a good backs move.  Tries followed by centre Sam Vagg and full back George Adams, as TWS finished their school career on a ‘high'. 

A big thank you to Coventry RFC who are not only the sponsors of the trophy but who hosted the final.

Look at that, all the scorers were Barkers players. They are all good lads that will do well in their rugby.

But all the lads who passed the ball to them weren't Barkers lads. Does that make them better players, or worse players? Such parochialsm does not reflect well on posters.

Good post INSIDE when XV players are on the park they are part of a TEAM. If it is a representative team the factor of selection from more than one school/team makes it hard to blend. I say fair play to you and also the lads who pull on the jersey for the effort and achievement they have made. May they all continue to enjoy their rugby. Wherever they play and whatever team or standard that they enjoy. Good luck to all. particularly to the new intake in September and players moving up a year next season. It would also be remiss to not mention the people who put themselves out school masters and weekend club rugby long may it continue.

Inside, I wasn't putting the other lads down, you know me better than that! which is why I put "WELL DONE WOODLANDS"
And you know full well the bond that I have with those lads in particular. Was just making an observation thats all!
