COVENTRY'S Ricoh Arena is set to play host to another top European rugby game later this month. If Saracens beat The Ospreys in their Heineken Cup quarter-final clash on Sunday, then the semi-final showdown between Saracens and Gloucester or Munster - who play on Saturday - will be staged at the Holbrooks' venue.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, said it was fantastic news the venue was in the pipeline to host another major European rugby semi-final.

"The organisers of the competition were extremely impressed with the Ricoh Arena when we staged the game between London Wasps and Munster this season," he said.

"We will find out on Sunday if we are hosting another European rugby spectacular depending on Saracens' result.

"Saracens will have an opportunity for revenge after an earlier defeat this season by The Ospreys and the match has been sold out.

"Plans have been put in place for the Heineken Cup semi-final which would be held here the day after Coventry City's match against Wolves on April 27.

"We are now waiting to find out the result."

which is also the day after covs match against Notts.however cant see Ospreys losing to Saracens so will have to wait until w.e.

You never know - I went to the wasps vs munster up there, which believe me was the best thing that I have seen on that pitch........

Would feel sorry for the Munster fans though, apparently only a few of them managed to get cheap flights before the airlines twigged that an event was on so hiked the prices.

Sarries did beat the Ospreys so your help in recommending Pubs and Restaurants in Cov would be greatly appreciated.

Plus if any of your supporters aren't doing anything on Sunday 27th April at 3pm, we need all the help we can get against Munster .........

i think you will find a lot of cov supporters have munster connections so there will be plenty of divided loyalties.
