Simon Jones is set to miss the forthcoming ashes series after a cricket spokesman declared the paceman will be out of the first test but there is also a 'slim' chance he will make the final two tests.
This news was inevatable but England fans were waiting on his latest operation to be successful for him to play in the first test. The news will most likely be what they expected.
The swinging paceman hasn't played for a year after twisting his knee in February and in June he had his knee surgery. He was hopeful to play in the first test but a cricket board spokesman has said:
"If everything goes to plan there is a slim chance he could be fit for the final two Tests."
