Inzamam-ul-Haq's Hearing Delayed

A family illness endured by Ranjan Madugalle, the ICC's chief match referee has forced Inzamam-ul-Haq's hearing to be postponed, most likely to some time next week, according to a report on www.bbc.co.uk.

This is yet another blow to both the world of cricket, and Anglo-Pakistani relations, and throws next weeks Twenty20 match at Bristol's Count Ground into doubt.  Inzamam is being charged with two major violation's of the Cricketing Code of Conduct- 'changing the condition of ball' and 'bringing the game into disrepute'.  It is not thought that Inzamam himself is guilty of ball-tampering, but as it is not clear which member of the Pakistani team, if any(!!), did attempt to change the ball's condition, according to Cricketing Laws, Inzamam as captain will have to take the stand.
