The adverts been placed. Yorkshire fans can only hope the right candidates apply. The two positions of Director of Professional Cricket and Director of Operations are up for grabs. Applicants have until the 21st January to stake their case and submit what will hopefully be an impressive CV.

Let’s hope that the right people apply. If you are a talented cricket coach with a proven track record of success, a desire to achieve much more and you are reading this article, then Yorkshire is the place for you. For a start the fans are the best in the world.

 

This is what the club is looking for:

 

A Director of Professional Cricket who will be:

 

§                  Responsible for all activity associated with the leadership management and development of the professional cricket squad and coaching staff at The Yorkshire County Cricket Club

§                  The candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in professional cricket ideally with both managerial and coaching experience and qualifications.

§                  As one of the highest profile jobs in professional cricket this is an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to lead the club to success on the field.

 

A Director of Professional Cricket who will have:

 

§                  Responsibility for all activity associated with the running of a professional cricket department including financial, administrative, talent identification and cricket development processes.

§                  The candidate will work with all relevant local and national bodies to create and develop a pipeline of talent for the future success of The Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Experience in a major sporting environment is essential for this role.

§                  A first class opportunity for an exceptional individual to help shape the development of cricket in Yorkshire.

 

The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, the energy and resilience to thrive in a high-profile and demanding environment as well as a collaborative and persuasive style.
