A fall while fielding in a frienly match against Lancashire yesterday has left Colly with a dislocated shoulder. He will be out for at least six weeks!!
Durham will have been hoping that Colly would be the player to inspire the team to a great start after his excellent winter for England but they will be without him for six weeks.
The injury also puts Colly out of contention for the England series against Zimbabwe and ends any hope of him making his test debut in the series at the Riverside.
Durham's first championship match is just over a week away against Somerset at Taunton on 23rd April. Another injury worry is bowler Mark Davies who pulled out of training this week and was taken to hospital for tests after worries of a recurrence of the collapsed lung he suffered two seasons ago.
Durham eventually lost the friendly by five wickets. We will be hoping for better things when the team get down to the south west...
