Lancashire all-rounder Andrew Flintoff will miss the First Test match against Zimbabwe because of a shoulder injury. However, fellow Lancs star James Anderson is expected to collect his first cap on Thursday.

Although Flintoff is set to miss out, other doubt Matthew Hoggard is set to play in the game. Hoggard's Yorkshire captain Anthony McGrath looks set to fill Flintoff's role in the side.

Flintoff, who hasn't played a Test Match since last August, was evidently frustrated about his time on the sidelines.
