England all-rounder Craig White has
been ruled out of the third Test against India because of an abdominal
tear. The Yorkshire star sustained the injury in the second Test, where he
scored 94 not out but was unable to bowl in the latter stages of India's
second innings because of the injury. A scan has revealed an abdominal muscle tear, which is expected to
sideline him for between two and four weeks. That effectively rules him out of the remainder of the Test series,
starting with next week's match at his home ground Headingley. England remain hopeful White will recover in time to fly out with the
rest of the squad to Colombo on September 12 for the ICC Champions'
Trophy. |
