Three of Worcestershires bright young stars will head to Perth,Australia during the winter to participate in the Cricket Academy courtesy of the Club's Supporters Association and sponsors,Apollo 2000. Three of Worcestershires bright young stars will head to Perth,Australia during the winter to participate in the Cricket Academy courtesy of the Club's Supporters Association and sponsors,Apollo 2000.The three making the trip this year will be Kadeer Ali,Stephen Peters and Chris Liptrot.

Speaking to the official Worcestershire website,Director of Cricket Tom Moody described how much last years participants had come on this summer."Kabir (Ali) came back in great form and was our Player of the Month for May and June. Chris (Liptrot) also came back in good form but an early season injury has halted his progress this season."

Kadeer Ali,the youngest of this years group at 19,may already be a name some people will recognise after he made a significant contribution this summer with the bat for England Under 19's. Liptrot and Peters,the older members of the group at 22 and 23 respectively,both have first team experience but their trip to the Academy is a means of making them the finished article and tidying up their overall game.
