Worcestershire Supporters Association's Player of the Year was today announced as batsman Ben Smith.Andy Bichel was also named as the winner of the Don Kenyon award for the best individual performance in a first-class game.
This season was a fine year for Ben Smith,a winter signing from Leicestershire.In all Smith scored 1,202 first-class runs at an average of 44.51. Whilst in the Frizzell County Championship he amassed 1,060 runs in 28 innings.
For these exploits Smith will pick up a cheque for £300 from Association chairman Ken Mills.
Andy Bichel wins his award after he claimed a career-best 9-93 in the Frizzell County Championship Division Two match against Gloucestershire at New Road.
