Moses agrees to join the Imps

Former Premiership and Championship defender, Adie Moses has agreed to sign for City subject to a medical on Monday afternoon. The former Barnsley and Huddersfield man has never played in the 4th tier of English football before in a career that saw him lock horns with some of the best.

The 31 year old, Doncaster born Moses started his career at Barnsley and helped them into the Premiership before leaving them in 2000 to join local rivals Huddersfield Town, he again moved on in 2003 and up until this summer, had been at Crewe since then. He even played in City's 5-1 victory over Crewe in the Carling Cup last season.

Imp's head coach, John Schofield was delighted to sign the defender : "For a player of Adie's stature to sign for Lincoln City is a coup for the club, his experience and success at the highest level will be key to helping the younger members of the squad. Adie has been there, seen it and done it - and he will be vital to our chances of promotion. He's played against some of the finest centre-forwards in the English game and that know-how will rub off on everyone else. His quality is the sort we are looking to try to bring in."

Having never played below the 2nd tier of English football, it may take a while for Moses to get used to the style of play mainly used at this level but hopefully, if he does sign will help the Imps gain promotion for the first time since 1997/8.
