Hughes finally ends his Palace transfer saga.

Jeff Hughes has finally ended speculation and joined Crystal Palace in a deal believed to be around £300,000. Many Imps fans will consider that a steal because of Hughes' frustrating form last year. Hughes was a first team regular last season but was one of the main players to suffer the wrath of the fans, as they were often frustrated by his non-committal attitude towards playing.

However, it quickly became apparant that Hughes wasn't as prepared to get stuck in, often allowing players to breeze paste him without him even putting in the effort of a tackle.

Every once in a whilst he would perform to his maximum potential, including the 7-1 win over Rochdale, and the playoff games on Sky in which he scored 3 of City's 4 games.

City are believed to have recieved £300,000 (plus add ons for Hughes) with around £70,000 of that heading Larne's way thanks to a sell on clause we had with them. Steff Wright has promised that every single minute of that transfer money will go straight to the transfer budget.
