Two of Lincoln City's former players have been named amongst the Times Newspaper's 50 Worst Ever Top-Flight Footballers.....but which two are they? The two players in question certainly won't be pleased to be in this selection, especially as one of them is still playing to this very day. Given the small number of ex-Imps to have played at the top flight, it's a surprise that two have made the list

In recent years the most notable ex-Imps to make the top-flight are Gareth Ainsworth and Darren Huckerby, but it's neither of these players. Nope, infact it's John Fashanu and Jason Lee.

Fashanu is the first ex-Imp to appear on the list, appearing at Number 22 for his constant physical abuse of opposition players, including breaking the eye socket of Tottenham's Gary Mabbutt during a game in the 1993/4 season. He played for the Imps on loan during the 1983/4 season, and his career has also seen him play at Norwich, Crystal Palace, Millwall and Aston Villa. He can now be seen on Sky One's "Football Years" talking about himself in third person.

Speaking of elbows, Jason Lee appears at Number 20 on the list. The man who used to sport a pineapple as a haircut helped Forest gain a UEFA Cup place back in the mid 90s. He joined City from Charlton for £35,000 back in 1991, he scored 21 League goals in 93 games for City before being shipped off to Southend for £150,000 back in 1993, then leaving for Forest in 1994 for £200,000. Since then he has elbowed opposition players whilst in the shirts of Grimsby, Watford, Chesterfield, Peterborough, Falkirk, Boston, Northampton and now Notts County.

Other names familiar to League 2 fans include ex-Mansfield and Stockport gaffer, Carlton Palmer, in in 40th Place. Peterborough United's Darren Ferguson is at 30 and Chris Kamara in 16th place...INCREDIBLE.
