Have you ever wondered what's happened to Scott Willis? If you answered yes to that question then you're in luck after the midfielder joined Witton Albion from Leigh RMI. The former City midfielder is hoping to rebuild his career in the Unibond League.

Scott Willis joined City in the summer of 2002 after a successful trial. He was a regular under Keith Alexander during 2002/3 but fell of favour the following season. Several failed loan spells later and Scott was out of Sincil Bank. He has played for 8 sides since then and has fallen further and further down the non-league structure as he goes along.

He has represented Halifax, Droylsden, Runcorn, Stalybridge Celtic, Vauxhall Motors, Workington, Leigh RMI (twice) and AFC Telford. He has now joined Witton Albion after they were pipped at the last minute to the Unibond Premier Division title, also losing out in the Playoffs.

Willis will always been remembered as Sincil Bank for some brilliant goals and one of the highest tackles you're ever likely to see.

Your lot always seemed to have a bit of an obsession with Willis! Glad I noticed it on here as I've not seen it mentioned elsewhere, I'm sure he'll get a good reception from the Leigh suppoters next year when we face Witton although his second spell at the club wasn't anywhere near as successful as his first.

I wouldn't say we're obsessed but he was one of my favourite players whilst he was here, plus it's a bit quiet up here in terms of news.

Aaaah Scott Willis. Who can forget his moment of glory. A pleasant Tuesday evening, a second half substitution -- 5 mins later an early bath after almost decapitating a Cambridge United striker who's name completely escapes me. An ex-imp too if memory serves.

Credit where its due, getting your feet head high on a 6' striker jumping to head the ball is a remarkable feet of athleticism.

Will always remember that moment where he looked like a complete and utter nutter, although it wasn't a Tuesday night. It was Saturday 14th December 2002.

Funny thing is that he get off twice for us and very few people remember the other occasion because the kick aimed at Paul Wanless' throat. I will always remember the look on Scott's face when he couldn't understand why he was being sent off.

I stand corrected, you are right. You've given me a flashback to the look of total surprise on Willis' face though when the ref pulled the red card out.

I can also still hear the sickening crunch when he hit Wanless. I'm not one for being overly sympathetic to opposing players, but I was really relieved when he got to his feet again.
