Imps lose out yet again

Ex-Imps defender Shane Nicholson has decided not to return to the Imps to become the 3rd out of 6 possible signings to reject the Imps. He has instead elected to join Chesterfield. Chesterfield, another of Nicholson's ex clubs beat off bids from several other teams including City's local rivals, Mansfield Town after he was released by Tranmere at the end of the season.

With Nicholson joined Chesterfield, he becomes the 3rd player in less than 24 hours to reject a move to the Imps. Things aren't looking good for the Imps as they remain the only club in the division, not to sign a new player yet.
