Keith linked with Pilgrims' job

Keith Alexander is being tipped to be the next manager of Championship side, Plymouth Argyle. Argyle recently sacked Bobby Williamson after a fairly poor start to the season and have been looking for a new manager and many in the Plymouth board room are said to want Keith Alexander.

Alexander quite literally turned Lincoln City around, from a team threatened with extinction, to a side that are near enough ready to start climbing the divisions. This has been well-noticed by the footballing world and Keith has been linked with many vacant managerial jobs, including Peterborough, Scunthorpe, Gillingham, Forest, Notts County and even (although this must seriously be a joke) West Bromwich Albion. However, now Plymouth, a team who won (the then) Divisions 2 and 3 in the space of 24 months.

Argyle terminated the contract of Bobby Williamson last week and were believed to be after former boss and current Sheff Wednesday manager, Paul Sturrock, however, the scot has turned them down and now Keith Alexander is widely believed to be the Number 1 target to fill the Home Park hot seat. If Keith does go, he would inherite a squad containing some of the best players in the Football League, Paul Wotton, Taribo West, Romain Larrieu, Bojan Djordic and Nick Chadwick.
